Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung Namibia and Namibia Informal Sector Organization (NISO) hosted engagements with Informal Traders on the Development of a Position Paper on the Informal Economy in June, in Windhoek

The informal traders call for the policy to protect migrant informal economy operators. The migrant informal economy operators, especially women, are subjected to violence and harassment, and payment of bribes from those in power. The informal traders also call for the policy to demystify the myths about their activities and the informal economy.
