Inclusive society

To advocate for an #inclusive society and #socialjustice the Namibia Informal Sector Organisation launched the Position Paper on the #NamibiaInformalEconomy to give a voice to the vulnerable members of society and influence the development of the Namibia National Policy on the Informal Economy.

The Deputy Minister of Labour, Industrial Relations and Employment Creation, Honourable Hafeni Ndemula, said that launching the Position Paper was imperative because the absence of a policy on formalization was recognized as a key constraint that hinders the visibility of the informal economy and their progress.

Highlighting the constraints faced by an #informaltrader, was Ms. Adeline Mukuve a street vendor.  “We are treated like we are worthless, they take our goods without considering that we are parents, trying to take care of our children,” she said. “
