Resident Director
As the Resident Representative of the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES) in Namibia, Freya has been heading the two FES projects in Namibia, Fesmedia Africa and the FES country office, since 2019. Freya’s areas of responsibility include the conceptualization of working lines as well as the overall project, finance, team, and office management. In terms of working lines, her particular interest lies in the issues of social inequality; reconciliation; and party cooperation.

Since June 2022, Patrick Schneider is the Deputy Representative of Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung Namibia and is responsible for various working lines and regional projects in Namibia. These include cooperation with Trade Unions, the office work around Gender Justice, Informal Economy, the Forum for Experts on Social Protection, and Youth development. Beyond these, he is responsible for the coordination of the regional Project “Just City” in Namibia of Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung in Africa.

Since April 2021, Karen Dietzel has been heading both offices in administration matters. As the Administrative and Financial Manager at the FES Namibia office, Karen is responsible for managing the project funds; human resources, FES assets and the daily operations of the office:

As Project Manager, Sylvia is responsible for Party and Parliamentary Cooperation, Reconciliation, Gender Justice and Labor Relations in partnership with the National Assembly, Political Parties and Civil Society Organizations. Her roles and responsibilities include conceptualizing and implementing activities such as planning, budgeting, monitoring and evaluation, networking with partner organizations, facilitation and moderation of meetings. Sylvia joined the FES Namibia team in 1997.

As Project Manager, Inge is responsible for three projects, namely Youth Development and Activism, Social Protection, and Urbanization. Her roles and responsibilities include conceptualizing and implementing activities such as planning, budgeting, monitoring and evaluation, networking with partner organizations, facilitation and moderation of meetings. Inge joined the FES Namibia team in 2009.
Public Relations Officer

As Public Relations Officer Khadijah is responsible for developing brand awareness to enhance the FES Namibia brand image. She develops content for and maintains the FES Namibia's social media platforms and website. Khadijah is also responsible for drafting press releases and maintaining contact with the media and other key stakeholders. Khadijah joined FES Namibia in February 2021.

As Office Manager, Cheryl`s responsibilities include organizing, managing, and ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the office. She oversees the administrative staff members, and is responsible for clerical/administrative duties, drafts correspondences or messages, receives and directs visitors to the respective offices. She further handles or delegates basic office tasks. Cheryl joined the FES Namibia team in 2016.
Driver/Technical Assistant

Since 2018, Reggie serves as the driver, contact person for IT related matters such as zoom meetings, technical set ups and he is responsible for maintaining the organization`s vehicles. He is in charge of the surveillance of the building and assists with event management and administration duties.
Cleaner
Johanna is responsible for supporting the smooth running of the office by keeping the premises in a clean and orderly condition.
Security Guard and Gardener
Secures premises and personnel by patrolling the property. Prevents losses and damage by reporting irregularities; informing visitors of policies and procedures and restraining trespassers if need be.
